Oliver Fanshawe’s Last Seen

Last Seen partners renowned artists with vision impaired Australians to depict their most cherished visual memory.

Oliver’s Last Seen image is that of a family trip to the Grand Canyon. At the time, he recalls he was fast losing his vision and his parents had been keen for him to experience the adventure and beauty of America. He recalls the different colours of the Grand Canyon from the various viewing platforms, and the distinctive orange tinge.

The Last Seen artworks were sold to help Queensland Eye Institute carry on vital medical research to save sight.
