Eleanor Lee’s (née Mills) Last Seen

Last Seen partners renowned artists with vision impaired Australians to depict their most cherished visual memory.

Eleanor favourite memories include travelling with her parents to the National Museum of Australia, the art gallery, and Floriade, the flower and entertainment festival. She recalls the brisk winter mornings and the fields of vibrant orange, yellow and red tulips, before she lost the ability to see the colour red.

The Last Seen artworks were sold to help Queensland Eye Institute carry on vital medical research to save sight.

Artist: Naomi White

Naomi White was partnered with Eleanor Lee (née Mills) to paint a precious memory of Floriades.

Naomi is an Australian Landscape Painter who has won and been selected as a finalist in various art awards including the Wynne Prize, Tattersalls Landscape Prize, Fleurieu Biennial Art Prize, Mosman Art Prize, and others.

Naomi uses a variety of mediums to depict our natural world. She responds to the way light can alter and enhance the textures of our landscape. With The Patterns of Colours in Our Mind, she stroked for the work to evoke an emotional reaction rather than one based on pure observation.
